No joke, the fever is like yoyo, keep going up and down. Highest ever is 39dc. Shivering like mad, body aching, nausea, super no appetite to eat plus keep vomiting the stomach acid juice.
On 10-May, the pain and cold is so unbearable that I went to A&E. Was put on drip and did a blood test for dengue. My blood platelets was 122 vs normal of 150. Was ask to go CDC for another bloodtest on 12-May. Hopefully it is only a false alarm.
My 1st Mother's Day is celebrated at home with fever. I had wanted to bring my MIL out for a good meal, but my conditions don't allow me to do so.
Boo..boo...on 12-May my blood platelets count is only 42. Confirm dengue, was ask to admit into CDC straightway. In CDC, I was also put on drip and everyday must draw blood for blood test. Was told to drink plenty of water and bed rest. My platelets must be over 50 before I can be discharged.
13-May, platelets count is 39, drop, haiz, cannot discharged.
14-May, doctor is confident that my platelets will increase and I can be discharged but who knows, my platelets count is 34, continude to stay in CDC. Am suppose to start work in my new company today, but cannnot. I was so looking forward to it. sob...sob...
15-May, finally platelets count increase to 81, yipee, can go home and see my baby. Although it is still lower then the normal but as I have shown a rising platelet trend, I am allowed to be discharged.
But I can feel that my body is no longer then same as before. I feel weaker and breathless easily.
Baby, Mummy is sorry that I cannot be with you the past few days and also I cannot carry and rock you like before. What mummy can do now is it recuperate faster. Love you!
Dear dear, thanks for coming to CDC everyday after work. I know you are very tired but yet you still make the effort. Love you also!
I feel that I am very lucky to have my MIL help me during this period. I can really rest and not worry about baby. I am really very grateful to my MIL.
