Time files, I have been a mommy for 7 mths. Unbelivable!!
Sad to say, I have not lose my pregancy weight. Come to think about it, the blog name is suppose to be a combination of me and Daddy but the 'fatty' can also be used on me now.
So it IS really a 'fatty sock' blog!! sob..sob..
Sleep
Baby ze has been sleeping through the night since he is 3mths old, but that time he is sleeping in the 'ya lan'. To me, its not a sin to sleep in it but it does make going out late inconvenient.
So last month, I start to to let him sleep on the bed, co-sleep with me.Papa will sleep on the mattress on the floor. 1st few nights he is only able to sleep through for 3-4 hours, then he will wake up and not want to sleep. I will have to transfer him to the 'ya lan' and he will continue sleeping.
After about 5 days, he is able to sleep through the night.
Baby ze is also an early sleeper, he will feel tired at about 6-7 plus pm every day. So since he is 2 mths, he has been sleeping at 7pm plus. This gives us free time to do our things at night. We did not train him to sleep early, I do not believe in training him to suit our schedule but rather we have been following his schedule like when he want to drink milk and when he want to sleep. In anticipation of CNY, we did try to delay his sleep but not sucessful.
Papa will grumble and say should not let him sleep so early because papa always work late, so by the time he reach home baby is sleeping.
My colleague is telling me I should be thanking my lucky stars and enjoying the current moment because once they grow up they will not sleep early.
Motor Skill
Baby ze motor skill development is much slower compared to babies his age. Some by now already know how to stand and can sit very well unsupported but he can only sit unsupported for about 1min then he will topple backwards or forward. Not to mention he also have not start crawling. Well, sometimes he does crawl, but backward.
I am not particularly worried as he is still active, can play, can eat, can sleep. If by 9 mths, he cannot do any of the above then I will be very worried.
Food
Baby started out with breastmilk, at the 2nd mth, midnight will be formula Friso Gold (s$28 per tin) then after I start work, for about 2 weeks, is a mixture of frozen milk and formula.

(this can last for about 2 weeks)When Baby ze is 6mth, his stage 2 formula milk is Similac (S$34.40). Are you wondering why not Friso Gold? Similac is chosen by papa because he heard that baby drinking Similac are smarter but to me there is no difference.
Baby ze only start semi-solid when he turns 6 mths, so far he has tried:
1) rice cereal
2) apple puree
3) carrot puree
4) potato puree
5) broccoli puree
6) sweet bean puree
7) Heniz sweet potato and pumpkin puree (during 小叔 wedding)
8) 'new rice' cooked with pork ribs and fish
Next month, I will let him try home made sweet potato and pumpkin puree.
